⏳ This Is Only Temporary
This Is Only Temporary
Let me touch base on something today, because I know where many of you are right now.
You're in a fat loss phase. You're eating in a deficit. Maybe you get one cheat meal a week; maybe none. You're watching guys around you eat whatever they want while you're weighing out rice🍚.
Now, our meal plans are built with volume in mind; in fact, the most common feedback we get from clients is "this is too much food." But let's be honest anyway: the fat loss phase is the most demanding stretch of the entire journey🏃♂️➡️. It's the phase that requires the most attention, the most discipline, and the most saying "no."
So today I want to remind you of something important:
This phase is only temporary. You are not signing up for forever. You are sprinting a season.
What Comes Next: The Maintenance Phase
Here's what's waiting on the other side.
The Maintenance Phase is when you are not eating in a deficit🍽️, or if you are, it's a very small one. And here's the part most guys don't realize:
You can still be making progress. Adding muscle, dropping fat, recomping; body composition keeps improving, just without the aggressive push.
You get more freedom with your choices. Dinner out isn't a math problem anymore. A weekend trip isn't a threat to your results.
You can work out less. Maintaining muscle takes less effort than building it. The training stays; the pressure doesn't.
Maintenance isn't a diet. It's pure lifestyle. It's the phase where everything you built becomes just how you live.
Why This Matters Right Now
Because knowing the finish line exists changes how you run.
The deficit has an end date. The discipline you're building doesn't disappear when it ends; it just gets cheaper. The habits that feel like effort today become autopilot🚀 tomorrow.
So if the fat loss phase feels heavy this week, good, that means you're actually in it. Push through it once, properly, and maintenance is where you get to live.
The Bottom Line
The deficit is a season🌱. The lifestyle is the destination.
Do the work now, and talk to your coaching team about where you are in your journey; they'll tell you what phase you're in, what's next, and when it's time to transition.
Keep pushing,
